Frequency Series presents Mary Prescott in two original solo performances of experimental movement, text and music. ALICE is a semi-improvised piece observing the subconscious internalization of standardized identity. This Is How You Remember Me (premiere) explores the imprints of presence and absence through ritual and repetition.

~Nois is a saxophone quartet devoted to the performance of new music. Founded in 2016, ~Nois has quickly emerged as one of the premier young ensembles dedicated to contemporary performance. ~Nois was awarded the Silver Medal at the 2017 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, the largest and one of the most prestigious chamber music competitions in the United States. For their Constellation debut, ~Nois presents the work of Chicago-area composers including two world premieres. Works by Marcos Balter and David Reminick, along with three pieces composed for ~Nois: Mathew Arrellin’s “Apertures” and new works by Niki Harlafti and Craig Davis Pinson.
